THE REV MICHAEL CHRISTOPHER NATION
Bishop Gray installed Fr. Nation as the 15th Rector of the Church of the Holy Trinity in June 2001. He is a native of Mobile, Alabama and is married to the former Cheryl Ann Presnall of Mobile.They have three children: Anna Grace, Caroline, and Michael Jr.
The University of Mobile graduated him in 1992 with a bachelor's degree in Religion and History. Duke University graduated him in 1997 with a master's degree in divinity. The Virginia Theological Seminary awarded him a certificate for Anglican Studies completed during his senior year at Duke. From June 1992 until June 1993 he studied overseas at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In the Fall of 2007, he matriculated at Spring College of Mobile where he is pursuing a Master of Arts in Theology.
In addition to his duties at Holy Trinity, he is active outside the congregation as well. He is a member of the Vicksburg Rotary Club, the Vicksburg Theatre Guild, Member of the Board of the Four Seasons of the Arts, and is serving his second term as President of the Bowmar Elementary School PTA. Bishop Gray appointed him in May 2007 as his Ecumenical and Interfaith Officer.
